Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, LLC was contacted to perform a utility locate in Sewaren, New York. Our client needed several dozen boring and well locations cleared. After determining specific locations, we began our investigation of any subsurface anomalies. We start by using our Radio Detection wand to identify any live power signatures. We then perform long scans of the area, using a grid pattern, to determine signal penetration depths and the overall soil conditions. Finally, we map any subsurface anomalies or identifiable utilities. At this location, we located a sewer line, multiple electric lines, as well as several grounding lines.
